The security deposit is a pre-authorization on the main driver's credit/debit card, which is processed on the day of the hire. Security deposits must be taken via a chip and pin transaction either at the time of collecting the vehicle from our office or on delivery.

As this is a pre-authorization, the funds are held and not taken from your account. Your available balance will decrease temporarily and then, upon release, it will increase again.

At the end of the hire, the security deposit will be released within 7 working days once the car has been checked in by our aftercare team. Once the deposit is released, it may take up to 10 working days to appear back in your account, depending on your bank.

If you wish to expedite the release of the deposit, you can opt for an early release fee of £10. By doing so, we will process a transaction to release your deposit within 3 working days. This will be done after receiving a confirmation email from our Aftercare Team informing you that the car has been returned to an acceptable standard.

Every customer must leave a security deposit before taking possession of the vehicle. If the Hirer is unable to leave the full security deposit, any monies paid will be non-refundable. If this occurs less than 48 hours until the hire is due to commence, 100% of the booking amount will become payable regardless of previous agreements.

At Peaceful Cars, we prioritize the safety and security of our vehicles and clients. The security deposit ensures that our premium vehicles are well taken care of during the rental period. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to these security deposit policies.

• If your booking is cancelled more than seven days before your booking commences, there is no cancellation fee. We understand that plans can change, and we want to accommodate your needs.
• If you cancel your booking less than seven days and more than two days before your booking commences, a cancellation charge of 35% of the total booking amount is applicable. This fee is to cover administrative and preparation costs associated with your reservation.
• If you cancel within 48 hours of your booking, a cancellation charge of 100% of the total booking amount is applicable. This is due to the short notice period, which makes it challenging for us to fill the reserved slot with other potential clients.
• If you request an early return during the course of your booking, we reserve the right to offer any resulting balance in the form of account credit. This credit can be used for future bookings with us, providing you with flexibility for your travel needs.
